Going into Business with the Right Mentality
I had already been a small business entrepreneur in the past. I had two employees working for me and doing ok until the 2000 stock market crash. So I went back into being an employee again. Now thinking about the past experience, I am asking myself: could I have avoided this ?
I never really realized that I could before reading Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad. Though I do not fully agree with him, I do recognize that one thing I didn’t grasp when I started my business is that I just hadn’t the right business mentality to do so. I had been a good student and got a valuable diploma that allowed me to get a corporate job in a big company but I didn’t stay long and went on Business without knowing much about the Jungle over there.
If I had only read a few books to educate myself before doing so, I think I would have avoided that first failure. Now do I regret this ? On the spur of the moment, sure I did since I lost almost everything and had some difficulty to recover financially and emotionally. But now, as time has the power to repair things, I’m willing to go back into business again because this failure is a strong experience that has teached me the lessons. It is humanly sad that I had to learn that way and I have decided to find other ways. And I think that blogging will inspire me to do so. That’s why I’m here and I’m gratefull to Today.Com to make me the honor to join their VIP Program .

Great post–it is true for life and business.p.s I have always liked the word attitude.
It’s really good to see a testimonial of Rich Dad Poor Dad. I am also true l of the book concept. First time seen the video of Robert Kiyosaki.
